About the Festival

Join us in the Celebration of a New Open Churches Festival

9th & 10th – September 2017

Horncastle and surrounding villages are opening their doors for a fascinating open weekend on September 9th and 10th, 2017. This follows the outstanding success of the West Lindsey Churches Festival held in May, including some of the team behind that very established event.

This event is a  success that grows every year to meet the demand – a real reward for all the volunteers involved.

This new event will feature many churches in and around Horncastle including Woodhall Spa, Coningsby, Tattershall, Wragby and many delightful villages in between.

There will be a similar new event in the Holland area of Lincolnshire.

Numerous exciting activities are being planned – from organ trails to flower and art displays, from bell-ringing to big brunch breakfast. And tea or coffee and cakes, of course.

Individual Church and village history may also feature in participating Churches.

Many will tell the local history of that church and its town or village.
